Why NewJeans' Hyein Won't Expose The Nicknames She Saved The Members As In Her Phone

While filming with W Korea, the magazine asked the girls of NewJeans how they saved the members’ names in their phone contacts. Like Haerin, some found ways to make their names sound cute.

Others were more practical like Minji, who couldn’t keep up with how often the members’ nicknames changed and kept their names as is.

When it was maknae (youngest member) Hyein‘s turn to answer, she surprised Danielle by saying, “That’s a secret.”

She didn’t want anyone besides NewJeans to know about them. Hyein explained, “I should keep the nicknames of our members secret to make them more special.”
