Several weeks ago, it was announced that NewJeans‘ Hyein would be going on a hiatus due to a foot injury.
On April 10, ADOR announced that Hyein had been injured during practice after suffering from a microfracture in her foot, so she was advised to limit movements and rest until fully recovered. This was particularly unfortunate timing due to the group’s recent schedules, which included a comeback at the end of May that, so far, Hyein has had to sit out of.
She even shared that she cried during NewJeans’ recent performance of their new song “How Sweet” on Inkigayo, which she could only watch and not participate in.
In the midst of her hiatus, Hyein was spotted in public using crutches as she continues to recover from her injury. According to fan accounts, the idol was seen with the crutches at her church.
With only the one photo taken, it’s unclear just how much she’s still using the crutches to move around as she recovers, or how much longer it will take her to fully heal from the injury.
Netizens have been quick to send the NewJeans member their well-wishes and support as she goes through what is undoubtedly a difficult time.
