HYBE Slammed For Allegedly Sabotaging NewJeans After Major ILLIT Announcement

ILLIT‘s latest announcement is being criticized.

On May 16, a post titled “HYBE’s Daughter ILLIT Will Appear On Knowing Bros” went viral. In the post, the author uploaded an article with the same title.

According to the article, ILLIT will be appearing on JTBC’s Knowing Bros in the show’s episode airing on May 25.

The announcement has since been met with heavy criticism. Many criticized HYBE for the article’s headline calling ILLIT, “HYBE’s Daughter,” as well as the fact that the group will be appearing on the show on the same week NewJeans comes back despite not promoting anything.

Netizens pointed out the fact that NewJeans, despite releasing their much-anticipated album on the same week, has only secured appearances on 2 YouTube shows.

“The fact they are (sabotaging) NewJeans so blatantly is the reason they are garnering hate. HYBE loves to fight with fans.”
“Wow, NewJeans is barely going on 2 YouTube shows, lol.”
“Doesn’t HYBE know that this will only bring more hate? What are they doing? ILLIT isn’t even promoting right now, lol. I don’t want to see them anymore.”
