Despite repeatedly requesting corrective action from ADOR, they revealed that none of the issues have been resolved. They felt that it was best to terminate contracts and continue activities freely.

Below is the official statement.

“This is Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein.

We will terminate our exclusive contracts with ADOR as of November 29, 2024, and continue our activities free from HYBE and ADOR.

As an agency that has signed an exclusive contract with us, ADOR has a duty to manage us faithfully for our benefit. We made a final request on November 13, 2024, asking them to fix the violations of their duties. However, even after a 14-day period, they have refused to correct the violations, and none of the requests were resolved.

Over the past few months, we have repeatedly requested corrective action from ADOR. However, ADOR has responded with excuses. We want to clarify that communication and mutual respect were not achieved because of ADOR.

We demanded specific requests from ADOR, however they did not take any action even after business hours, and with the remaining correction period, it became impossible physically to correct the issues. Due to this, we held an emergency press conference yesterday. ADOR’s claims that we did not wait for their response are just another excuse.

The five members hereby notify ADOR of the termination of our exclusive contracts as ADOR has violated the obligations under the contract and has not corrected them within the request period. The termination notice is per the contract, and we have all signed the termination document. The notice will take effect immediately after reaching ADOR on November 29, 2024. Thus, the exclusive contract will be invalid from that point on. With this, there is no reason to file an injunction to terminate the contract, and we can freely continue activities starting from November 29, 2024.

Additionally, the five of us have faithfully fulfilled our obligations under the contract. Because the termination of our contracts was due to ADOR’s breach of contract terminated our contracts, we are not obligated to pay a penalty.

We do not want the termination of our contract to harm others. We will fulfill all obligations made with ADOR and others before termination.

This decision was made after much deliberation among the five members. We can no longer remain at ADOR, which cannot fulfill the basic duties of protecting its artists. Maintaining our contracts will only cause us extreme mental distress. With this, we have concluded that we have no choice but to leave ADOR. The five of us have also been hurt by the numerous media plays based on false information. We hope this will not occur again after the termination of our contracts.

The five of us will do our best to bring good music in the future. Please continue to watch and support the five of us moving forward.”
