The Unexpected Reaction To NewJeans At The “2024 Billboard Women In Music” Event Even Surprised The Members
NewJeans might have only debuted in 2022, but the ADOR group has already cemented their status as global stars, and their global reaction has gained attention.
On March 6 (local time), NewJeans attended the 2024 Billboard Women In Music event.
After surviving the “Getty curse,” the five members showcased their visuals in a video posted by Billboard. By performing and being nominated at the event within only a few years of debuting, the members showcased their unreal popularity and influence.
At one point during the show, all the amazing women were being shown on the screen.
Netizens shared how NewJeans got the largest cheer when they appeared, and it could be seen in the video without sound as people stood up and waved their lightsticks.

In another video, host Tracee Ellis Ross shone a spotlight on NewJeans, and as the camera pointed at the members, the cheers once again went crazy.
Perfectly adapting to the cheers, the host then started to do a call and response with fans as she shouted “New,” and the crowd responded with “Jeans.” Even the members seemed shocked by how loud and vocal the fans were in support of them, despite being a K-Pop group at an event with many other global artists.
NewJeans never fail to surprise netizens with their popularity and from being one of the biggest groups in Korea to their impact being felt abroad, the group will only continue to grow and gain even more fans.
