Recently, NewJeans’ primary source of communication with fans has been the Phoning app. On the platform, the idols can send messages and hold live streams, one of which recently received some criticism.

NewJeans’ Live Broadcast Talking About Hanni Speaking On Workplace Bullying Triggers Backlash

On October 20, the entire group did a Phoning live stream together, following their second night of performances at the Coke STUDIO LIVE 2024 in Japan.

The group entertained fans in various ways during the broadcast, including a portion where Haerin played the piano.

At one point during the stream, the group mention the “Lucky Vicky” meme. The concept originated with Jang Wonyoung, whose English name is Vicky, and is based on her positive mindset in thinking she is lucky all the time, regardless of the circumstances.
