Ryu Sera, a former member of Nine Muses turned singer-songwriter and content creator on YouTube, made a surprise announcement via her Instagram account that she will be getting married soon.
On January 31, 2025 (KST), Ryu Sera uploaded beautiful photos as a bride-to-be, adding that “After much contemplation, [she] decided to share the news with the public.”
The idol-turned-YouTuber noted that she was concerned about the attention that her non-celebrity fiancé might receive post-announcement, but that she decided to share in celebration of her becoming a better person through matrimony.

Hello, this is Ryu Sera.
Since debut, through my glamorous days and my humbler times, you have all been so supportive of me and I’m deeply grateful for that. That said, after much contemplation, I’ve decied to share this news with the public.
I’m getting married. Because my fiancé is a non-celebrity, I was concerned that the attention might be overwhelming for him. That’s why the decision to share the news took some time to make.
There were times when I thought marriage has nothing to do with me. But the moment he made me feel the desire to become a better, more mature person, I knew he was the one. I expect some of you to feel more relieved than surprised at the news. Thank you for being the driving force in my life, despite my insecurities and shortcomings.
This year, in addition to getting married, I’m planning on trying new things. If interested, please support my new endeavors in developing healthy pop culture. I would appreciate that a lot. Here’s to a life of honesty and courage.
