NJZ (NewJeans) Files Objection To Court’s Decision Prohibiting Independent Activities
According to reports, on March 24, the five members of NJZ (NewJeans) filed an objection to the Seoul Central District Court, which accepted ADOR’s injunction to ban independent activities.
Previously, the court ruled in favor of ADOR to “preserve the agency’s status and prohibit advertising contracts.”
The court stated it was “difficult to say that the claims and materials submitted have sufficiently proven that ADOR violated the exclusive contract.”
After the court’s injunction decision, NJZ posted on social media that they plan to dispute the case through objection and provide material as much as possible.
If an objection is filed for the injunction, the same court will hold a retrial.
However, Korean netizens wondered if the objection would make a difference.
- “But truly, are no adults near them that can give them proper advice?”
- “Usually, it’s normal to file an objection, but I haven’t seen it make a difference. Honestly, they’ve already submitted all the materials they have…what else do they have.”
- “Are they trying to gather investors by continuously pushing things back?”
- “They are still young, so it’s okay as long as the fans wait for them..but I’m not sure how long they will.”
- “If the retrial still brings the same results… it will be hard to change the media.”
Meanwhile, NJZ has announced they will be going on a temporary hiatus.
