NMIXX’s Haewon Makes NSFW Joke That Has Heavily Mixed Reactions
While most K-Pop idols tend to keep a pure, innocent image in the public eye, it wouldn’t be surprising to learn that many of them probably have a lewd sense of humor behind-the-scenes. Most of them are adults, after all, and there’s nothing wrong with crude jokes with people who are amused by them!
That doesn’t stop idols from sometimes getting backlash if they make “NSFW” jokes or remarks in public, and recently, NMIXX‘s Haewon has been getting mixed reactions from netizens for such an act at a fanmeeting.
During the fanmeeting, the members of the group were playing with plushies and other toys. Haewon appeared to have some kind of fox plushie, which she discovered had a tail that looked a little… Unusual.
She ended up holding up the tail in a suggestive way and showed it to Sullyoon and Lily, whose reactions made it clear that they also thought it looked like something it shouldn’t.

The moment was caught on video by fans, and quickly started spreading online, where it was met by some backlash, especially from Korean netizens. The clip was even requested to be removed from the fancam it was in.
A post was even made on an online Korean forum titled, “Haewon is really making me want to quit the fandom”, which included the above photo and clip. However, comments from others were overwhelmingly in support of Haewon, and most seemed to think her actions were hilarious.
Reactions from international fans on social media were, in general, supportive of Haewon too.

It was definitely surprising to see a K-Pop idol make an NSFW joke in such a public place, but we’re glad to see that Haewon doesn’t seem to have received too much backlash because of it!
