NMIXX Vs JY Park — Why The Members Unfollowed Their CEO’s Bubble
The members of NMIXX recently appeared as special guests in the latest episode of the popular YouTube variety show The KStar Next Door.
During the episode, the members unleashed their girl-next-door charm, sharing chaotic anecdotes from their personal and professional lives. When the host, Jonathan, brought up the CEO of NMIXX’s label, JY Park (also known as Park Jin Young), Haewon admitted that she considered him as her role model. She explained that the way Park works on himself to keep performing live even at this age is something she found exceptionally inspirational.
Jonathan, however, flustered her while saying that her “heart didn’t reach him” and pointing out that she hadn’t even subscribed to JY Park’s channel on Bubble, a subscription-based fan communication platform. Jiwoo, Sullyoon, and Bae were the only three members who were actually subscribed.
While Haewon was left speechless to defend herself, Bae admitted that she unfollowed Park recently, leaving Jonathan genuinely taken aback.
When asked why, Bae called out her CEO, saying that she was “disappointed” by how little he actually used Bubble to communicate with his subscribers.
Jonathan then teased Sullyoon, asking if she used Bubble to communicate with the CEO because she didn’t have his personal contact. In response, she revealed that she had unfollowed his Bubble right after the first month of subscribing, implying that she just “dine-and-dashed” with his profile.
Now that JY Park, who is usually the one giving strict feedback to his artists, is on the receiving end, will he improve his attendance on his Bubble? Only time and Jiwoo will tell.
