Noh Hong Chul to leave Infinite Challenge after DUI
Entertainer Noh Hong Chul is under controversy for allegedly driving drunk. According to the Gangnam Police Department, Noh Hung Chul was caught at a checkpoint near Nonhyundong on November 8th.
According to the police, Noh Hong Chul refused to take the breath test request and instead took the blood test. Currently, the entertainer’s blood sample has been sent to the National Forensic Service. After the confirmation of the alcohol level, the police will further investigate the case by summoning No Hong Chul.
If Noh Hong Chul’s blood sample scores over 0.05%, it will not only result in a license suspension but it will also inevitably result in his departure as a member of Infinite Challenge. This will then be a similar incidence to that of Leessang‘s Gil, who left the cast of Infinite Challenge due to a DUI charge in April.
Now, it has been revealed that Hong Chul will be leaving Infinite Challenge and other programs he is active on. The entertainer revealed in a statement, “I’m sorry to disappoint everyone who cared for me because of a wrong decision I made and I deeply apologize. I made it known to the staff that I wish to step down from my positions on all programs, I made this decision to not displease viewers.”
Meanwhile, the Infinite Challenge crew has been garnering attention for recent issues, including, Park Myeong Soo being accused for lack of an apology on the recent episode’s car accident and Haha receiving backlash from netizens for his public support of MC Mong‘s comeback. On the brighter side, Infinite Challenge PD Kim Tae Ho has been featured in a publication release related to variety shows.
