Household Drama — One Underage NJZ (NewJeans) Member’s Mom And Dad Have Differing Opinions On Contract Termination

There is reportedly disagreement between either Haerin or Hyein‘s parents about their contract termination with ADOR.
According to an exclusive report from Chosun Biz, there are currently internal household disagreements regarding NJZ‘s (NewJeans) contract termination with ADOR. Their report stated that the parents of one of the underage members of NJZ (either Haerin or Hyein) do not see eye to eye on their daughter’s contract termination. This means that one parent is agreeing with the termination while another disagrees.
The report continued, saying how since minors typically require joint parental authority, both parents would need to reach a common conclusion. However, since they did not agree, a separate meeting was held at a family court in an attempt to resolve the issue. NJZ’s legal representatives confirmed back in March there was an issue within one family.
There was a meeting held at the family court, and we expect a resolution by next week. Once the decision is finalized, there should be no further issues.

However on April 3, the Seoul Central District Court noted that the two parents still did not come to an agreement, and thus joint parental authority could not be applied to the member in their lawsuit against ADOR. Chosun Biz inferred that based on the proceedings of the April 3 trial though, the parent that opposed contract termination was overruled, and the lawsuit proceeded based on the authority of the parent that supported termination.
