The Origin Story Of Marvel’s “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings” To Be Released As A Webtoon On Naver
The origin story of Marvel‘s first Asian superhero, Shang-Chi, is set to be released on Naver as a webtoon!
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is a 2021 film based on the character of Shang-Chi, a martial arts hero, and follows his adventures as he battles against his past, and encounters his siblings, ones he never knew he had.
The webtoon is will be released as a series, with 8 issues set to be released every Wednesday and Sunday KST on Naver Webtoon and Naver Series. After Black Widow, which was launched in July 2021, Shang-Chi is the second series in Naver Webtoon’s Marvel Webtoon Project. Regarding the serialization of the webcomic series, Naver said in a statement that Shang-Chi being enjoyed in its film as well as webtoon form is an added advantage for the series.
Viewers can enjoy the story of Marvel’s best hand-to-hand fighter Shang-Chi in both forms ― webtoon and film. It will be an interesting experience to discover the similarities and differences in terms of the narrative between the two genres.
