OT6 RIIZE Fans Use Protest Funds For Charity Donation Instead

The money was raised for protests originally.

OT6 fans of RIIZE had previously been planning to host truck protests to call for Seunghan‘s exit. They planned to host it on October 14, 2024, but received news the night before that Seunghan would be withdrawing from the group.

After using a portion of the money to clean up the area outside of SM Entertainment that had been occupied with protest wreaths, the organization decided to use the remaining money for charity. They had around ₩8.90 million KRW (about $6,500 USD) left after everything. They purchased 80 expensive winter down jackets from National Geographic and will be donating them to a women’s protection center. RIIZE currently models for the brand.

This is about the donation of the remaning funds. We are left with around ₩8.90 million KRW (about $6,500 USD) at the moment, and plan to buy 80 winter down jackets from National Geographic, which RIIZE are models for, and donate them to a women’s protection center. Currently, we have concluded discussions about donations with National Geographic and it will take around 7 to 10 days to secure the stock. We would be grateful if you can wait until the final donation [for updates].

The fans received praise for their actions.

  • It’s FR a good idea to donate down jackets to a women’s protection center from a brand RIIZE models for.
  • No, but they thought this one out well. Donating and promoting RIIZE at the same time.
  • I’m a fan of another group, but they did good with this one. Isn’t it way better for their image to do this sort of donations?
  • My impression of RIIZE shot up so much LOL.
  • It’s so cool of them to donate to a women’s organization.
