Why Comedian Park Myung Soo Ditched The “2024 KBS Entertainment Awards”
Throughout the year, comedian Park Myung Soo was not shy about wanting to win a Daesang at the “2024 KBS Entertainment Awards.” In fact, with his beloved KBS radio show airing since 2015, some fans believed the comedian-turned-DJ had a good shot at bagging a trophy at the award ceremony.
Yet, on December 21, 2024 (KST), Park did not show up to the awards show—and his fellow comedian, Yoo Jae Suk, revealed perhaps the most relatable reason for all K-Pop fans!
When hosting rapper Lee Young Ji asked Yoo Jae Suk about Park Myung Soo’s whereabouts, Yoo Jae Suk revealed that the missing-in-action comedian ditched the awards for something far more important to him…

Lee Young Ji: Where’s Park Myung Soo sunbae-nim? He has been saying all this time how he wants to win a Daesang at the KBS Entertainment Awards.
Lee Chan Won: You’re right.
Lee Young Ji: I don’t think I see him tonight, though. Does anyone know where he is? Yoo Jae Suk sunbae-nim? Do you know anything about his whereabouts? How come he’s not here?
