Park Yoochun To Hold Paid Fan Meeting In Bangkok While On Probation
Park Yoo Chun, who is currently under probation, will be holding a fan meeting in Bangkok.
According to Thai officials, he will be holding a fan meeting at Chaengwattana Hall in Bangkok at 7 PM local time on December 25. The price for a ticket including the high touch event is 5000 baht (~$165.73 USD).
The most controversial part of this fan meeting is that it is being held during his probation period. Many are guessing that’s why he chose to hold an international fan meeting instead of in Korea. Last summer, Park was arrested on charges of drug administration. He was sentenced to two years of probation and a fine of 1,400,000 KRW (~$1,203.23 USD).
Many feel that his actions are tainting K-Pop’s honor and image as a specific organization planned this meeting by contacting Park directly. Even with K-Pop’s popularity rising, Park’s actions are clearly lowering the K-Pop syndrome with his decisions.
This past February and March, Park was charged for purchasing six doses of methamphetamine with his ex-girlfriend Hwang Hana, the granddaughter of Namyang Dairy’s founder. He was also charged for administering methamphetamine last September and October with Hwang Hana. In the process, he showed tears of sadness, only to find out that it was all a show.
Park’s previous agency C-JeS Entertainment commented, “We have never been in contact with him after the termination of his contract.”
