179 Of 181 Passengers And Crew Confirmed Dead In Jeju Air Plane Crash

All but two passengers and crew members on board Jeju Air Flight 2216 are confirmed to be dead.
On the morning of December 29, Jeju Air Flight 2216 flying from Bangkok, Thailand to Muan, South Korea crashed after landing on its belly and veering off of the runway.
Authorities confirmed there was a bird strike warning issued by the control tower, followed by a Mayday declaration from the pilot. The plane crashed just minutes later.

Two survivors were found at the rear of the plane during the initial stages of the rescue efforts. However, shortly after, authorities announced everyone else on board were presumed to have perished from the incident.
At around 9pm KST on the same day, rescue authorities officially confirmed that 179 of the 181 passengers on board the flight died from the crash.
