Singer Peder Elias Finally Addresses Viral "Shipping" Video Of IVE's Jang Wonyoung And Him

Norwegian singer-songwriter Peder Elias has addressed a video of him and IVE‘s Jang Wonyoung.

Peder Elias is well-known in the K-Pop community. Several idols are fans of his, including BTS‘s Jungkook, who sang Elias’ “Loving You Girl” during a live broadcast.

Jung Kook actually did a shout-out to me last year, playing my song ‘Loving You Girl’ on his Instagram Live. I really appreciate him for doing it, because I definitely gained a lot of attention from that.

Elias has also worked with some of the hottest K-Pop idols. He featured on SEVENTEEN sub-unit BSS‘s song “7PM.”

Last year at the 2022 Genie Music Awards, Peder Elias collaborated with (G)I-DLE‘s Yuqi for a performance of “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys.

Peder Elias is even friends with ASTRO‘s Cha Eunwoo. They did both a cover of Elias’ “Bonfire” and an interview for Eunwoo’s YouTube channel.

With Peder Elias’ connection to the K-Pop industry, it’s no surprise that he would have been shipped with an idol too.

Recently, a video of an alleged interaction between the Norwegian singer and IVE’s Jang Wonyoung at the 2022 Genie Music Awards was posted on the video-sharing app TikTok. It claimed Peder Elias “found her so attractive” that he kept looking over at her, and the two even made eye contact.

This video went viral with 3.5M views at the time of writing. Netizens didn’t blame Peder Elias. Instead, they wondered who wouldn’t continually look at Wonyoung since she was so pretty.

Since the video went so viral, naturally, Peder Elias saw it himself since he is active on TikTok. He duetted the video, commenting that it is “so much fun seeing these videos” and agreed that Wonyoung is “really beautiful.”

Yet, Peder Elias clarified what really happened in the video. He was not looking at Wonyoung but at the stage where artists were performing. He added, “much love to IVE, wonyoung, and you guys though.”

In just a couple of hours, he garnered over 20K views. Netizens appreciated Peder for his clarification, as there are frequent misunderstandings due to camera angles.
