“People Doubt Our Relationship”: Seulgi Hits Back At Allegations Regarding Red Velvet’s Friendship
In an era where social media posts and public appearances often dictate the perceived strength of relationships between celebrities, Red Velvet’s Seulgi addressed critics in a heartfelt and honest response to fans.
Recently, there were whispers and doubts raised by netizens regarding the bond between the Red Velvet members, especially after not all of them appeared to be present at Wendy’s musical lead debut with Rebecca. But Seulgi, with her recent statement, has set the record straight on Bubble, the popular fan messaging app.
Wendy’s musical debut had been a significant milestone for her and Red Velvet fans alike. However, the absence of some members led to growing concerns about the strength of their bond. Some fans jumped to conclusions, accusing the rest of the members of being less than supportive. But this was far from the truth.
Love how you can see who’s Wendy’s real close friends are with the Rebecca musical 🥹🥰

Joy and Yeri subsequently revealed on Instagram that they had been in attendance at one of the musical’s many shows to support their bandmate. Seulgi, never one to let false accusations stand, chose to clear the air on her Bubble conversation with fans.

She disclosed her plans to surprise Wendy at one of her shows, without revealing which one, ensuring the surprise remains intact. The Red Velvet star also hinted that the group’s leader, Irene, probably had already been to the musical — as she is always one of the first to be there for her bandmates. This shows that the girls indeed have each other’s backs, even if they do not always publicize it.
She poignantly added that the same goes even for more mundane things like birthday wishes.
[Irene] is always the first when it comes to birthday wishes even. LOL, all of us wish each other happy birthday, but because we don’t make it obvious, there are sometimes people who cast doubt about our relationship.

Sweet as ever, Seulgi tried to lighten up the discussion by blaming their reserved nature on the fact that all five members of the group are introverts.
It’s because we’re a group of [introverts].

Support within the group isn’t new or rare. In the past, the Red Velvet members have been seen standing by each other during their solo projects. Whether it’s posting on their personal social media platforms, sending food trucks, or showing up at music video and drama shoots, the girls have consistently displayed their bond.

They’ve been there for each other in both good times and bad, solidifying their friendship that has lasted years in the cutthroat world of the music industry.
Seulgi’s response serves as a poignant reminder: Relationships, especially those as deep as Red Velvet’s bond, cannot be gauged by social media posts alone. True friendships run deep and don’t always need public validation.
red velvet is a group with a bunch of introverts and they keep their friendship and live on the low i respect that

They don't need to announce it to the world every time they go and support their members at events. Just because they don't openly post about it doesn't mean they don't love and support each other, that's not how friendships work it's not for PR and it's not a charity.

The Red Velvet girls have grown together, worked together, and stood by each other throughout their journey — it’s safe to say that their bond is unbreakable.
