“Player 9” Cho Gue Sung Shocks Netizens With His Questionable Styling At Recent Training Session
The South Korean national soccer team won the hearts of the nation when they competed in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and advanced to the 16th round for the first time in over a decade.
When they returned to Korea after the 16th round, they were welcomed home as national heroes, with media and fans rallying to applaud the team for their hard work.
While the entire team earned the nation’s pride with their talent and hard work, a few standout players were recognized for their skill, personality, and idol-like visuals.
One of the players who went viral for his talent and handsome looks was player 9, Cho Gue Sung.
Since the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Cho Gue Sung has kept fans captivated with activities such as sexy photoshoots and variety show appearances.
Most recently, he rejoined the national soccer team to prepare for their upcoming match against Colombia on March 24.
While comments usually gush over Cho Gue Sung’s visuals, he shocked many with his unrecognizable appearance as netizens reacted to his questionable styling.
Cho Gue Sung had his face partially shielded with a cap and wore a beige utility vest over a baggy long-sleeve shirt. He paired the top with white cargo pants and tennis shoes to complete the look.
Many netizens felt that although the individual pieces he wore were trendy, the combined outfit didn’t suit him well.
Some netizens pointed out that the hat took away from the fashion-forward look the outfit was going for.

While netizens may have been discussing his outfit, Cho Gue Sung was kindly posing for photos with fans before the training session at the Paju National Football Center as the team prepared for their upcoming match and was all business in interviews about the team and their new coach.
