Police want heavier sentence for ex-manager of Ladies’ Code
Prosecutors have made an appeal against the sentence imposed on Park (Ladies’ Code ex-manager) for speeding and causing the death of two of the members.
According to legal officials, on January 21st, the police investigators of Suwon made an appeal stating that the sentence is too light.
On January 15th, Park was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months of confinement. This is similar to the regular prison sentence criminals are given, but is different as there are no forced labor during the prison sentence. Yet, the police had initially requested 2 years and 6 months including prison labor.
Park also made an appeal through legal representatives on the 16th. Park’s attorney is to contact and negotiate his lighter sentence with the families of the deceased.
A personnel from Polaris Entertainment told Star News, “It is hard for us to be actively involved since we are attempting to keep both sides from getting hurt as much as we can. We will try our best to see that negotiations flow well.”
