Police Officially Request Seungri’s Arrest Warrant
5 months after the Burning Sun and Seungri scandal started, police have finally requested Seungri and Yoo In Suk‘s arrest warrants.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced today, May 8, that they have formally requested arrest warrants for Seungri and Yoo In Suk
The police conducted additional investigations over the holiday weekend, totaling 17 rounds of investigations. The police requested their arrest warrants on the basis of 2 key charges: prostitution solicitation for foreign investors and embezzlement of Burning Sun’s funds.
Police have also concluded that Seungri was directly involved in the mishandling of 200 million KRW ($170,605 USD) that was meant for Monkey Museum, and also violated the Food Sanitation Act, registering Monkey Museum as a restaurant and not an entertainment venue. These charges have also contributed to his arrest warrant issue.
The verdict for their arrest will be determined following a series of court deliberations.
