Police Provides Latest Update On BTS Suga’s Drunk Driving Incident
The police investigation into Suga’s drunk driving incident has now ended.
BTS‘s Suga was previously caught drunk driving an electric scooter on the night of August 6, 2024. Various CCTV footage has shown that he was operating an electric scooter with a seat, toppling over near Nine One Hannam apartments. Police who were patrolling the area rushed to help him, detecting alcohol on him. They later gave him an alcohol test which showed a result that greatly exceeded the legal limit.
The star is scheduled for a summons to the station as part of his investigations. Various members of the press had previously waited for him to show up on August 14, 2024. He did not turn up on that day. In response to queries about his summons schedule, the police gave a statement on August 19.
They claimed that he would not be given any special privileges in the investigation and his case would be treated the same as any other.
There were several things that happened, so the investigative team is adjusting the schedule [for the summons]. We plan on confirming it for this week, and we will not be calling him in on the weekend, or late at night.
