After no activities, AleXa’s company Zanybros ZB Label sparked controversy when they promoted a “comeback” for the idol, which was a performance video that has been “rebranded” as an official music video. The track  “Under the Armor” was not recorded recently, and the song is not in Korean.

Following much frustration from AleXa and fans, the idol seemed to hint at parting with her company.

On February 20, AleXa did a broadcast with fans and revealed that rather than a comeback, she would be having a “re-debut” in April. The idol explained that she’s had plans but was unable to execute them, adding that fans didn’t need to worry as she was moving on to “bigger and better” things.

I wanna say, it’s not a comeback, it’s a re-debut. I’m not at liberty to say anything else, but just look forward to April. Coz guys, when I tell you, I have a plan, I’ve had a plan for months but in my current position, I can’t do anything. Once this position is completed, then I’m moving on to bigger and better. So, don’t worry about me, guys I promise I’m coming back. Trust me. I would never just leave the industry. I want to stay in this sh*t as long as I can, so I promise you guys you’re going to have something exciting and fun in April.
