Popular Actor’s Singing Cover Goes Wildly Viral For All The Wrong Reasons
It’s not uncommon for idols to become actors, something that many top stars have been able to pull off successfully.
On occasion, someone who began their career as an actor will sometimes surprise fans with the occasional musical release. Some even treat fans to cover songs at in-person events, showing off their multi-talented-ness.
Recently, a popular actor went viral online for all the wrong reasons regarding a shared musical cover.
Actor James Supamongkon Wongwisut , also known as James Su, got his start in the drama Oxygen and more recently appeared in the BL (boy love) series Bed Friend. The handsome actor has previously attracted attention for his resemblance to TXT‘s Yeonjun in a photo.
On September 15, a video of the star covering “You?” by Two Feet was posted to YouTube, showing the actor singing and dancing to the song.
A clip of this was added to social media to advertise the cover. The short clip gained over 1.6 million views on the original post, with subsequent repostings racking up even more.

Y'all aren't being honest with him and setting him up to get dragged, singing and dancing isn't his forte, your duty as his company should have been advising him to just work on his acting and modeling career and let singing be a side job just like everyone else https://t.co/DHnI4Q4l3h

I support all creatives desire to create & I don’t say this to discourage but, I think the issue is that everyone wants to be an artist but no one wants to do those 5-6 years in the basement training like an artist. He needs training, vocal & dance. https://t.co/sekA6up9QF

The actor has since responded to the influx of comments, with fan translations of a recent video showing the idol admitting to being open to criticism. He also stated that the situation had seemingly gone too far, resulting in bullying rather than constructive criticism.

While constructive criticism is one thing, there are many that use a situation to hate unnecessarily on stars.
