Veteran actress Uhm Jung Hwa has called out the misogyny in reporters towards female celebrities.

Recently, Uhm Jung Hwa released a new video on her YouTube channel where she met with her friend MLMA.

During the video, Uhm Jung Hwa honestly explained that when she wears clothes, people might ask why she wears certain items at her age.

In particular, she pointed out that since she was 28/29 years old, reporters have constantly been using her age when writing or reporting about her.

She explained that whenever her name is written, the age is always put before it.

While it might seem a normal thing to do for fans, Uhm Jung Hwa made a point of saying that it made her feel conscious of her age and that it was something that only happened to female celebrities.

Adding that reporters only did it for female actresses and singers, Uhm Jung Hwa explained, “I think it’s very harsh.”

This sort of view is held by those worldwide, with female celebrities being held to different standards from men, especially when it comes to the outlook on growing older. With so many years in the industry, Uhm Jung Hwa has witnessed and experienced it all.
