Koreans have selected their favorite artists and songs for the year of 2023, led by NewJeans and Lim Young Woong.
Gallup Korea, one of Korea’s most respected survey sites, has released the results of their 2023 survey on the most popular and loved artists and songs that represented the year 2023. In their survey, they polled 2,489 individuals from throughout the nation that were between the ages of 13 to 39, and 2,773 individuals 40 and older. Individuals were allowed to select up to three artists. Here are the results.
Ages 13-39
1. NewJeans 25.7%
2. BTS 18.3%
3. IVE 17.0%
4. IU 16.1%
5. BLACKPINK 12.7%
6. AKMU 7.4%
7. Lim Young Woong 7.1%
8. BTS’s Jungkook 5.6%
9. (G)I-DLE 5.5%

1. Lim Young Woong 37.8%

In addition, they polled the individuals on what the most popular and loved song that represents 2023 was. Just like selecting the artists, individuals were allowed to select up to three songs.
