Popular Child Artist Faces Online Sexual Harassment

Seo Eve, a popular child artist who recently went viral in Korea with her song “Malatanghulu,” has reportedly been the target of online sexual harassment.
The 11-year-old singer’s agency, Soon Entertainment, issued a statement on July 1, KST, warning netizens that malicious posts directed at Seo have reached “a very serious level.” The company was forced to file a formal complaint on June 21 for violations of the Act on Protection of Children and Youth from Sexual Offenses and defamation.
We have judged that particularly severe posts are being made against the minor artist, and we will take strong legal action to protect the artist’s rights and interests.

The agency also mentioned that they are meticulously collecting evidence in real-time to bring all perpetrators to justice. The platforms under monitoring are reportedly Nate, Theqoo, DC Inside¸Instiz, Ilbe Storehouse, Naver, and other social media sites.
Soon Entertainment has clarified that although the evidence collection and investigation might take up months, they will be pursuing the case till the end and “strive to eradicate serious criminal acts such as sexual offenses and defamation against the minor artist.”
Meanwhile, Seo Eve, born in 2012, is a child creator with over 470,000 followers on TikTok. Her digital single “Malatanghulu” was released in April, which catapulted her to online fame. She is also the daughter of model-broadcaster Lee Pa Ni, which has put her under the spotlight even further.
