Areum, former member of the once chart-topping girl group T-ARA, has come forward with a disturbing claim. The singer announced via her social media that she has become the victim of an extortion scheme, where an unidentified perpetrator is using her identity to solicit money from her close contacts, including family and friends.
Areum, who has recently been in the news due to her ongoing divorce proceedings, made it clear that despite being hospitalized, she does not face any financial difficulties that would necessitate borrowing money. The announcement came as a cause of concerns that the extortion attempts might mislead her acquaintances into believing she is in financial distress.
