Popular Girl Group Member Dashes Hope Of A Comeback, Crushing Fans
Following their win on Queendom, WJSN released Last Sequence on July 5, 2022, their most recent release.
Since then, the group has held a fan meeting, but WJSN’s Chinese members, Xuanyi, Cheng Xiao, and Meiqi, officially left shortly after. Members Luda and Dawon did not leave the group but left Starship Entertainment after their contracts expired.
The remaining members have since focused on their solo careers, including Yeonjung, who has appeared in several stage productions since the group’s hiatus began.
Recently, she completed performances in the musical Lizzy and interviewed about the role, answering questions about her career.
While talking about her love of the stage, Yeonjung also mentioned WJSN, specifically their future plans.
There aren’t any concrete plans for WJSN activities, but there are so many good songs, even just from the side tracks. While doing the curtain call for Lizzie, I realized how much I want to do a concert. It’s already fun to do a brief curtain call like this, so imagine how fun it would be to gather and have a full concert.
— Yeonjung
Though it is nice to see Yeonjung’s desire for WJSN group activities, many fans were a bit disappointed at the thought of no concrete plans for the group.
