The group shared the news through their official TikTok account a while before the ban started and expressed gratitude to their fans (known as EYEKONS) for the support they’ve shown on TikTok.

All this work and TikTok is going away… Thank you, EYEKONS, for all the love and support on TikTok!! Make sure to follow us on all socials. See you soon!!

KATSEYE has frequently gone viral on TikTok thanks to their unique and entertaining content, so the ban has left both fans and members disappointed. Many fans have taken to social media to explain why the group can’t circumvent the ban, despite being a globally managed act. Since the members reside in California, they’re directly affected by the legislation. Fans clarified that alternative measures, like using a VPN or posting from overseas, aren’t viable due to the account’s restrictions.

As TikTok was one of their primary platforms for connecting with fans and promoting their music, the ban will seemingly mark a significant shift in KATSEYE’s promotional strategy. The group is expected to redirect their efforts toward other platforms, such as Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, to maintain their presence in the short-form video space.

It seems like despite all the challenges that come with the newly introduced TikTok Ban, KATSEYE thankfully remains committed to engaging with their fans worldwide.
