Popular Korean Comedian Finally Meets Her Football Player Doppelganger — And Fans Are Ecstatic
Famous Korean comedian Eom Ji Yoon finally met her look-alike, and fans were there for it.
Eom Ji Yoon is known for looking like the Norwegian football player Erling Haaland of Manchester City.
The comedian embraced her looking like Erling Haaland and often joked with her fans, who often talk about her and her doppelganger. She even posted a hilarious picture of the two of them “unintentionally interacting” through the thumbnails of two shorts on YouTube. The left video showed Eom Ji Yoon sitting and getting her makeup done, while the right photo showed Erling Haaland’s arm reaching over to her side, making it look like he was doing her makeup.
She wrote in the caption that this was “the most received photo via DM (direct message) these days.”
Fans emphasized how alike they look and responded with hilarious comments like, “Nuna was definitely Haaland in her past life,” “From Haaland to Haaland,” and “Sweet Ji Yoon wiping Haaland’s tears.” After only seeing this virtual interaction from the unintentional placement of videos on YouTube, the two finally got to meet in real life—and fans were ecstatic.
Manchester City recently met with fans on July 30 at the Seoul World Cup Stadium at a “Preview Show” hosted by Coupang Play. Eom Ji Yoon was the host of the “Preview Show,” and she finally met him in real life. After the event, Eum Ji Yoon posted a series of pictures of her meeting Erling Haaland. She wore Haaland’s jersey, gave him a handshake hug, and patted his back.
In response to their long-awaited meeting, fans celebrated their interaction and left hilarious and witty comments. Some comments mentioned the myth that if one meets their doppelganger, one of them will die. Others purposely pretended to confuse the two for each other.
