Korean Dating Show Participant Loses Weight After Being Shocked By Malicious Comments Calling Her A “Pig”
A participant on the popular Korean dating reality show I Am Solo recently shared why she decided to lose weight and how she did so.
ENA and SBS‘s I Am Solo is a dating show where single men and women search for a partner with marriage in mind. The participants were given fake names, and the 14th season was a “40s special” in which all the participants were in their 40s. One female participant with the pseudonym Ok Soon gained attention throughout and after the show.
A former flight attendant at Qatar Airways and current Korean language instructor, Ok Soon was a popular member of the show, receiving votes from three male participants based on first impressions.
On June 12, Ok Soon answered questions from netizens on Instagram. She received many questions about dieting, such as, “What’s the secret to dieting?” and “Did you lose weight with diet pills?” Ok Soon made clear that she lost weight traditionally and naturally.
I got a lot of diet questions, but I’ve never taken diet pills or done procedures; isn’t the standard of diets just diet and exercise?

She also revealed that she was shocked by malicious comments pointing out her appearance.
After the broadcast, I was shocked by the malicious comments calling me a pig, and I exercised for two hours four to five days a week, and lost three to four kilograms in six weeks with thorough diet and exercise.

The former flight attendant is continuing to work on her diet and exercise, especially as it is the summer season.
I’m still doing it because I have a goal, and I’m more determined because it’s summer. Eat less and exercise—that’s all I do!

Meanwhile, people had noticed that Ok Son’s recent photos show a slimmer appearance than when she was on I Am Solo. She recently changed her Instagram to private, which gained attention as well. The 14th season of I Am Solo ended at the end of last month.
