Popular TV personality Jang Sung Kyu addressed the backlash he received for following an influencer.

Recently, the personality appeared on a YouTube show. On this day, Jang Sung Kyu asked host Pungja about her image.

Pungja, who is a popular personality and trans-woman, confessed that her family had a hard time dealing with her strong image. Pungja gained popularity for her abrasive on-screen personality.

My family doesn’t like it (my image). They are always concerned when they watch me curse and yell on-screen because, in private, I am not like that. They said they feared for me. They tell me not to read the hate comments. It’s inevitable because if you’re on-screen, you will get hate comments.

Jang Sung Kyu then admitted that it was impossible not to be affected by hate comments. Jang Sung Kyu then addressed several of the controversies that led him to receive hate comments — with one being the time he followed Ohttomom, who is an influencer.

Do you know Ohttomom? She’s a woman. I followed her, and that was reported in articles. People said that I was pretending to be a loving husband, but I was looking (at other women). I only followed her because she is an influencer and asked we follow each other.
