Popular Model Found Stabbed To Death In Her Apartment
A renowned model known for her work in Hong Kong was tragically discovered dead after being stabbed, prompting police to arrest a man for questioning.
According to the Sports Chosun — citing Thai media — the incident occurred on the night of July 18. A 24-year-old woman from Hong Kong was found dead in her Bangkok apartment, having sustained fatal stab wounds.
The victim has been identified as Gwendolyn Cretton — an Eurasian model who holds both a Hong Kong ID and a Swiss passport.
Security camera footage showed Cretton walking her dog outside her residence around 5:30 PM on the day of her death. About 45 minutes later, screams were heard from within her apartment, and a car belonging to a man identified only as Mr. A was seen leaving the scene.
Local reports suggest that the man is also from Hong Kong. He has claimed to be Cretton’s boyfriend and has alleged that she took her own life due to depression.
Cal Cabrris International Management, a Hong Kong modeling agency, confirmed that a model fitting Cretton’s description had been employed by the company for several years, with her contract ending in early 2024. However, the agency could not verify if Cretton was indeed the victim or provide information on her recent activities. The company expressed hope that the former model was not involved in this tragic incident.
In light of these events, the Hong Kong Immigration Department has reached out to the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s office in Hong Kong and the Chinese embassy in Thailand to seek further details about the case.
