What Makes Popular Mukbang YouTuber Tzuyang Actually Gain Weight?
YouTuber Tzuyang is a household name to mukbang lovers.
Known for her large appetite compared to her figure, Tzuyang has remained a wonder among her viewers for not gaining much weight despite her massive meals.
In her latest appearance on RAIN‘s YouTube channel, Season B Season, though, Tzuyang revealed the one thing that does make her gain weight: Exercise.
When RAIN asked why Tzuyang had quit exercising…
Tzuyang: Do you eat a lot and work out a lot?
RAIN: Definitely.
Tzuyang: I used to love exercising, too.
RAIN: But what happened? Why don’t you anymore?
…Tzuyang explained that when she tried weightlifting, she gained 26 pounds (12 kilograms).
I really want to, but if I do, I gain weight. I used to weigh 101 pounds (46 kilograms), but after I started lifting weights, I became 127 pounds (58 kilograms). So I quit, thinking it wasn’t working for me. And I began losing weight again. Now, I’m about 110 pounds (50 kilograms).

Simply “built different,” Tzuyang wowed the viewers with her unique metabolism!
- “I’ve been on the skinny side all my life, too. And when I started weightlifting, I gained 10 kilograms. Now, I look healthy!”
- “From what I’ve heard, that’s what weightlifting does. People on the heavier side lose weight and people on the skinnier side gain.”
- “She’d be so good at bodybuilding.”
- “Wow. If she can really gain 12 kilograms in muscle, I’m envious.”
