Popular Singer Apologizes After Lashing Out At Pro-Palestine Fans
Musician Rad Museum has recently issued an apology to fans, whom he had lashed out at a few months ago over their advocacy of pro-Palestine boycotts.
In February, the singer posted a video on his Instagram with a Starbucks cup in his hand that he kept showing off to the camera. Since Starbucks is considered an organic boycott target among pro-Palestinian movement circles, a fan reached out to Rad Museum on Instagram, urging him not to post about Starbucks and McDonald’s, offering some background information on why he was being asked to do so.
Hyung (Bro), I love you and have a lot of respect for you as an artist. But please do not post [things like this] because Starbucks and McDonald’s support genocide. It is better to refrain from posting about these brands, so I hope you understand.

The singer then allegedly blocked the fan and proceeded to upload stories lashing out at fans for “forcing” their opinions on him.
The incident was followed by a massive backlash from international netizens, and four months later, the singer apologized for his actions. He posted a lengthy apology on his Instagram, urging people not to criticize other artists associated with him for his own actions.
At the beginning of this year, my post related to Starbucks has caused pain to many people due to my improper handling as an artist, and for that, I sincerely apologize.
I have noticed that my issue has led to negative feedback on activities of fellow artists associated with me, and I deeply regret this. My fellow artists are in no way related to my actions, and I earnestly hope that such incidents will not occur again.— Rad Museum
He also clarified that his post had no political implications. “At the time, I was not aware of the facts related to the war,” the singer wrote, adding, “I was not aware of the facts related to the war. Once I became aware of the ongoing war, I expressed my condolences and sorrow through a post in my story. I am still deeply saddened by the ongoing war.”
Also, the full story regarding my issue posted in various communities is very different from the truth. The Starbucks coffee in the story post was not a product that I purchased or consumed, but simply a coffee that was present at the scene.

Finally, Rad Museum concluded his apology, adding that he responded “thoughtlessly” to the criticism because he received a lot of “malicious messages from people around the world.”
After the problematic story was posted, I received thousands of malicious messages from people around the world, including photos covered in blood and indiscriminate insults about my family, which were extremely difficult for me to bear mentally.
I deeply apologize for responding thoughtlessly, driven by emotion rather than reason, and for not fully listening to the voices of those who empathize with the horrors of war. I sincerely hope that all people around the world can face peace instead of war as soon as possible.
I will act more cautiously in all matters in the future. I once again sincerely apologize to those who were hurt by my post, and I will take this incident as a lesson to strive to become a more mature artist.— Rad Museum
The singer’s apology, however, has received a lukewarm response from fans, who felt that it arrived too late or wasn’t sincere enough.
