Popular SM Entertainment Trainee Reportedly Spotted Months After Health Concerns
An SM Entertainment trainee previously “missing” for several months was reportedly spotted recently.
Last year, following numerous announcements and changes to NCT‘s line-up, it was announced that the group would debut one final unit. The group was to be formed through a new survival program titled NCT UNIVERSE: LASTART.
The program set out to debut a group initially intended to have six members; however, an additional member was added during the final episode. The pre-debut group was then named NCT NEW TEAM (now NCT WISH) and held pre-debut activities.
A month before the group’s first pre-debut release, it was announced that member Jungmin would depart from the group and return to trainee activities due to health concerns.
Since then, there have been no updates on his status or if he has continued being a trainee.
On July 24, this changed, as a netizen shared that they had seen him in person.
According to the netizen who shared their account on X, they saw Jungmin at a cafe in Seoul Forest, where SM Entertainment‘s building is located.

I went to Seoul Forest during the day and saw Jungmin! He bought an incredible amount of bread… After he left, I found out it was his birthday. Happy birthday, Jungmin! Also, thank you so much for using your feet to close the cafe door on your way out when your hands were full of desserts. It was extremely hot, so I really appreciate it.

Additional clips shared by the OP show the person believed to be Jungmin leaving the cafe and waiting for his order. Based on the fact he carried an instrument on his back, it is safe to say that if this is Jungmin, he still is involved with music.
