The Most Popular TikTok Artists of 2023 Is 50% K-Pop

On December 6, the popular social media app TikTok published a report analyzing the trends that ruled the platform in 2023, and K-Pop had the lion’s share in it.

The report covered all types of fields on TikTok, including music, artists, creatives, and specific content categories, including educational and food content. Each trend was then ranked in two categories, according to their popularity in the United States and globally.

In “The Hitmakers” category, which lists the most famous artists on the platform, K-Pop showed dominance in the global field, with five out of the top 10 positions claimed by its artists.

1. BLACKPINK

BLACKPINK snatched the highest position on the Hitmaker chart, ranking third.

2. BTS

BTS followed closely, grabbing the fourth position in the top 10 list.

3. ENHYPEN

ENHYPEN showed impressive popularity on the app, claiming the sixth position on the Hitmaker list.

4. LE SSERAFIM

LE SSERAFIM earned the eighth place on the list.

5. NewJeans

NewJeans showcased their hold on TikTok, earning the ninth place on the list.

TikTok also published reports analyzing country-based data, which showed these same artists took over South Korea in the first five positions in the exact same order from first to fifth place. The sixth to tenth positions were taken by NCT, TXT, Stray Kids, TWICE, and SEVENTEEN, respectively.
