Popular TV Personality Apologizes For Her Controversial Post Regarding The Jeju Air Plane Crash
Ahn Hyun Mo, a former reporter and current TV personality, has apologized for her memorial post about the Jeju airplane crash that was deemed insensitive by the public.
On December 30, she posted a photo with a caption on her Instagram story, reflecting on the incident from a personal perspective.
“Although I’ve been on planes on Friday, Saturday, and even today for several days, getting on and off the plane was all out of luck. It was all something to be thankful for.
The more I think about it, even inhaling and exhaling can be heartbreaking.”
— Ahn Hyun Mo
However, the post didn’t sit well with most netizens, who felt that the caption was self-serving and disrespected the victims of the crash.
On January 1, KST, Ahn offered an official apology for the post two days after uploading it.
“I was lacking in my attempt to convey my heartbreak…There are no words to express my sorrow over the Jeju Air Plane disaster.”
— Ahn Hyun Mo
She continued, “I express my heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families who must be going through a lot due to this incident. I pray for the souls of those who passed away.”
Despite deleting the previous controversial post and the subsequent apology, Ahn continued to receive backlash on social media. As a result, she has closed the comment section of her latest Instagram post.
