Shamans, Exorcists, And Tarot Readers — The Viral New Korean Dating Show Where All Participants Have Special Skills

Its concept has never been done before.

With classics like Heart Signal and Single’s Inferno currently out of season, fans of Korean dating shows have been blessed with a new kid on the block — Possessed Love. The premise of the show is rather unique, for all the participants have a job related to the spiritual realm.

All participants’ jobs fall under one of the following — Korean shaman (known as mudang), tarot readers and fortune tellers. There is an added premise too. Before they enter the shared house, they have to each choose a “destined partner.” No information other than the birth dates of these partners are given.

Of course, with the birth dates, some participants such as the fortune tellers and shamans are able to calculate if it would be a compatible match with themselves. Others rely on pure luck and intuition. Then, they have until the end of the show to find out the identity of their destined partners. Of course, they can always go with their heart and simply pursue whomever they wish to pursue. Throughout the show, you can also witness the participants plying their trade, calculating their love matches and more.
