Pre-Debut Group’s Shirtless Social Media Banner Alarms Netizens

“… is absolutely inappropriate.”

A pre-debut group’s new social media banner has sparked concerns online.

For a long time, BEAT INTERACTIVE (home to K-Pop group A.C.E) has been teasing their new trainees through the name NEWBEAT.

Recently, the members have been active in many ways promoting their group, whether starring in A.C.E’s music videos or joining them on their recent US tour.

On June 20, the group hinted that they are closer to debuting and even teased their name, writing about “HinLOVE” and also sharing their new Twitter account.

When netizens clicked on the new account, they were shocked to see that the social media banner had seven members, and they were shirtless.

When the change and new account was shared on Reddit, it immediately sparked concern among fans.

Netizens found the whole combination of the shirtless members and candy pacifier to be odd. However, the main concern many had was about the ages of the members, and while it’s not uncommon for idols to go shirtless, many hope that none are minors as it would be hugely inappropriate.

It will be interesting to see the development of the group and their concept, and many hope that it will be appropriate for the members.
