President Yoon Suk Yeol’s Response To “New Nth Room” Draws Massive Backlash

The public demands more.

A set of horrifying digital sex crime exposés coming out of South Korea, being dubbed as the “New Nth Room.” has left the world shaken. According to various sources, including victims, a set of Telegram rooms with a total of more than 212,000 participants have been exposed, and in some of them, in order to gain access, one must submit a set of photos of women around themselves, such as classmates, siblings, or friends, and provide their personal details.

Some of these rooms also exclusively center around users “humiliating” their family members by taking pictures or videos of them inappropriately touching their mothers or sisters. Other rooms also contained AI-generated deepfake pornography of real-life girls and women, and many of these rooms have been found to be operating out of schools and colleges across the country.

As international criticism erupted after these revelations, South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol addressed the issue and called for “thorough” investigations during a televised cabinet meeting.
