PSY Apologizes To Fans On Social Media For His Weight

Legendary soloist PSY has been apologizing individually to his fans on social media over his weight.

On February 14, KST, the singer shared a couple of photos of himself on Instagram, taken nearly two decades apart. The first picture, taken in 2006, featured a younger PSY with a sturdier body.

The second one, taken in 2025, features the current PSY, with his almost unchanged face but a slimmer body.

The side-by-side comparison has invited “criticism” from fans who didn’t hold back their complaints about his weight loss in the comments. The singer responded to each of them, apologizing.
“Where is all your fat?”
—”I’m sorry.”
“You’ve lost your determination, hyung-nim.”
—”I’m sorry.”
“You have to manage your weight till ‘Summer Swag’ show.”
—”I’m sorry.”
“Jesang hyung, instead of saying sorry, talk about how you’ll fix this.”
—”I’m sorry.”
If it wasn’t evident from the comments, the fans offered their “criticism” in jest since this has been a long-running inside joke between PSY and his domestic fandom. Some international fans, unaware of it, were left confused to see the singer apologize again and again in the comments. PSY even took the time to explain the situation to them.
While most K-Pop idols have to stick to extreme diets and workout regimes to keep their weight low, PSY is probably the only one who walks on eggshells for shedding a few kilos.
