NJZ (NewJeans) Accused Of “Dining-And-Dashing” Following Recent Court Appeal

The girls have been continuing to collect dues from ADOR.

The court trial between ADOR and NJZ (NewJeans) continued on April 3, 2025, with the primary dispute centered on whether ADOR had adequately fulfilled its responsibilities as NJZ’s exclusive management agency. During the proceedings, ADOR disclosed key financial details to support its case.

ADOR asserted that it had met its obligations regarding financial support and fair revenue distribution, making substantial investments in developing NJZ’s intellectual property. Regarding NJZ’s debut, ADOR revealed that the production costs for their first album alone amounted to roughly ₩7.00 billion KRW (approximately $4.77 million USD), far exceeding the industry’s average album production cost of ₩3.00 trillion KRW (about $2.05 billion USD) at the time. In total, nearly ₩30.0 billion KRW (around $20.5 million USD) was invested in launching NJZ’s career.

ADOR also emphasized that revenue settlements have been ongoing despite the members’ contract termination notice. Monthly payments continued, covering advertisement earnings, event payouts, and other salaries. Since October 2023, NJZ members have collectively received over ₩12.0 billion KRW (around $8.18 million USD).

With such vital information released, it seems like a portion of netizens have gone hostile against the girls. In particular, on an online post on theqoo regarding the dividends, many called NJZ out for turning tail despite receiving payouts.

  • LOL it’s so pathetic how they still collected up in the midst of everything.
  • So they’ve been collecting up anyway. What is this?
  • So they’ve been collecting their dues but whining at the same time… Just please cough up the contract termination fees and leave.
  • The contract termination fees are just stacking up infinitely…
  • Who would cheer on people who dine and dash?
