A “Queendom Puzzle” Contestant Drives Herself To The Show — Shocks Fans After Revealing She Has No Manager
Mnet recently aired a special preview ahead of the start of their upcoming reality series Queendom Puzzle.
Unlike Queendom, which focused on mainly groups together, along with one soloist in both seasons, Queendom Puzzle featured individual artists from girl groups competing to form a special unit group.
On June 6, netizens were treated to a preview of what to expect. During the special episode, the participants were introduced, and some solo performances were shown.
In particular, one contestant gained attention after her introduction as netizens shared their sympathy for the idol and its former Momoland member JooE.
Momoland always stole the hearts of fans with their unreal talent, catchy songs, and charismatic members. It meant that netizens couldn’t hide their sadness when it was revealed in February that the group had disbanded.
While many of the contestants on the show are still part of groups, JooE was one of the idols who came alone… literally.
During the episode, the idol gained attention after revealing that she was participating in the show without a manager! In the clip, a car was shown with an idol getting out as they said, “Am I the only one who’s late?! I’m panicking.”
When JooE was revealed, the idol seemed flustered as she explained, “Hello! I’m so sorry. I ended up going to the Sangam CJ ENM…”
Showing her journey to get to the studio, where the idol was driving herself, JooE shared her shock at the directions.
I had no idea there were two CJ ENMs in Sangam AND Ilsan. NOW I KNOW.
— JooE
The idol then revealed that it was shocking because although she had visited the building and lived in Ilsan, she never took it in as she was usually in the back of the car.
In the past, I’d be sleeping in the back. So I didn’t really pay attention to where I was being driven to. It felt all the same. I LIVE IN ILSAN, TOO! This is making me realize how important it is to have a manager.
— JooE
While it seemed confusing, the idol admitted that she was completely alone and how much she appreciated having a manager because she would have to work twice as hard as when she first debuted.
I’m completely alone now. So… I’m going to have to work twice as hard as I did when I first debuted.
— JooE
While JooE seemed to laugh off the issue, the clip was shared on TikTok…
@hellnaurlimitnaur She literally has to drive herself around for this show and hope she gets it right 😭 #queendom #queendompuzzle #momoland #jooe #kpop #fyp #fypシ
Netizens shared their sadness that JooE was having to go through the show alone and without support. Many hoped that the show would cement JooE’s talent and mean that K-Pop companies sign her.
For many, Momoland’s disbandment was shocking, and they hope that JooE’s appearance on the show allows her talent to shine and gives her the platform to find a company to support her.
