The Real Reason Why Rapper Lee Young Ji Chooses Not To Wear Makeup During Her Broadcasts

As one would expect, she often appears with a full face of makeup, and she’s absolutely stunning.
Yet, she looks completely different on her YouTube show 차린건 쥐뿔도 없지만 (No Prepare). Although she interviews the hottest Korean celebrities each episode, as the title suggests, she is “unprepared.”
So, Lee Young Ji appears bare-faced and in stay-at-home clothes in her apartment.
And even in recent interviews, such as for BuzzFeed in the U.S., she has appeared with little to no makeup.
So, fans have been curious about her recent choice to go sans makeup on broadcasts considering it’s something celebrities rarely do. Recently, Lee Young Ji had a Q&A via Instagram Stories, and a fan responded, “I’m curious about why you don’t wear makeup on broadcasts!!”
In typical Lee Young Ji fashion, she responded with a joke before giving her serious answer. She teased, “So you guys can rage about it ㅎㅎ I’m joking.”
Lee Young Ji revealed shockingly that she does not consider there to be an actual reason. Initially, she just did it for convenience because she would sweat while living in Thailand.

Yet, when it comes to the choice to go without makeup, even on broadcasts, there are actually a couple of reasons. She believes that it helps to make her guests more comfortable.

Now, she also feels like putting on makeup is a chore. And at this point, she is more recognized as bare-faced.
