Red Velvet Irene And Seulgi’s Unit Group Debut Will Be Delayed By A Month
Last month, Red Velvet’s Irene and Seulgi announced that they would be debuting as Red Velvet’s first ever unit group.
They were originally confirmed to release their first mini album Monster on June 15 but posted an official announcement online that it would be delayed to mid-July.
SM Entertainment revealed that they needed more time to work on the album for a more high quality album. “In order to work on the album a bit more, we have decided to delay the album release.”
They hoped that fans would understand and thanked them for their constant love and support. “Thank you once again to the fans for waiting for their album and we hope that you can understand this change. We will return soon with an even better album.”
Below is the official announcement:
Hello this is SM Entertainment. We would like to thank everyone for the love and support for Red Velvet Irene and Seulgi’s first mini album Monster. We would like to announce a few changes to their album release.
The album, which was originally supposed to be released on June 15, will be delayed to mid-July because they felt they needed more time to prepare a more high quality album. In order to work on the album a bit more, we have decided to delay the album release.
Once we decided on a set date we will make sure to let fans know about it first. Thank you once again to the fans for waiting for their album and we hope that you can understand this change. We will return soon with an even better album. Thank you.
This is the first time Red Velvet has debuted a unit group in their six years as a K-Pop group. It is no surprise that fans are super excited about this sub-unit debut and hope that they will release a new confirmed date soon!
