Red Velvet’s Stylist Under Fire Over Joy’s Uncomfortably Short Dress
Red Velvet‘s Joy is a gorgeous idol who looks beautiful in everything she wears.
Joy is the tallest member of Red Velvet at 168 cm (5’6) and was blessed with long legs. When dressed in clothes that properly fit, her legendary proportions are emphasized.
Unfortunately, on multiple occasions, Joy has been dressed in things not made with her body or comfort in mind, even though she looks beautiful.
This recently happened again at an event Red Velvet performed at.
On December 13, Red Velvet and SHINee‘s Key appeared at the Lazada Festival Concert in Indonesia.
Red Velvet wore matching ballerina-core outfits, with Joy looking pretty in pink as they greeted fans.
However, when the group began performing songs, it was easy to see that Joy’s dress was too short to perform in. Joy’s dress rides up throughout the performance, leaving her safety shorts visible.
Joy tries multiple times to pull the dress down, but it rises again despite her efforts.
While Joy looked beautiful in the dress, sharing photos on her Instagram that did not include the lower part of the outfit…
…fans quickly criticized their stylist for putting Joy in such a short outfit to perform.
She’s SO SO SO PRETTY but gurl whoever the stylist they need to get punished #RedVelvet #Irene #Seulgi #Wendy #Joy #Yeri #Lazada #Festival pic.twitter.com/yJJDil823k

i’ll never understand why stylists give girl groups dresses that stop in that area and then throw on safety shorts so people assume that they’re not uncomfortable. it’s weird how normalized it is https://t.co/7117RnAXfq

Ultimately, fans want their idols in outfits that are both gorgeous and comfortable, especially when performing on stage.
