Red Velvet’s Wendy Stood Out Among All Artists At “SMTOWN 2022” Ending
Red Velvet‘s Wendy is known for her handsome face and boyish charms, both often highlighted by her short shoulder-length hair. Her hairstylist referred to this type of look as a “sharming cut,” which is a play on the term “shag cut” and the word “charming.” This style became a popular trend and hot topic even among idols when Wendy first revealed it.
Since then, Wendy and her other members, Irene, Seulgi, Joy, and Yeri, have made Red Velvet known as a group for attempting a wide range of concepts and somehow managing to pull off all of them.
Still, despite evidently being able to pull off any fashion, Wendy seems to prefer a more casual attire consisting of pants, t-shirts, jackets, button-downs, and sweaters in her everyday life.
That, along with her penchant for playfully flirting with female fans and her fellow members, has tended to give her a more masculine image.

Not that it matters to Wendy, because it seems like she wears what she wants regardless of what other people think! This was on full display during the ending of the annual SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @ HUMAN CITY_SUWON concert when she was literally the only female artist wearing the black SMTOWN shirt along with all the male artists!
It’s unclear whether it was intentional, but as chic as Wendy has been over the years, it shouldn’t surprise anyone if she chose to wear it herself.
